Cultural Celebrations and Events at Dehkhoda Iranian School
Dehkhoda Iranian School, in addition to teaching Persian language and literature, continuously strives to familiarize children and teenagers with their roots, the richness of Iranian culture, and its authentic traditions. Holding national and cultural celebrations is more than just a joyful event; it is a valuable opportunity to connect the younger generation with their cultural identity, strengthen their sense of belonging to the community, and practice unity and friendship in a warm and welcoming environment.
Throughout the academic year, we organize these events beautifully with the active participation of students, teachers, and respected parents.
- School Opening Celebration (Fall): Welcoming students and starting the new academic year in a lively and energetic atmosphere.
- Yalda Night Celebration (December): Celebrating the longest night of the year with various programs including poetry readings (Hafez), storytelling, music, and a traditional Yalda table.
- Chaharshanbe Suri & Nowruz Celebration (March): The school’s largest annual event featuring the Haft-Seen table arrangement, student performances, spring songs, and welcoming the new year.
- End-of-Year Celebration (June): Honoring students’ efforts, awarding certificates and prizes in a grand gathering with refreshments and entertainment programs.
